Robert Mondavi Private Selection Rum Barrel-Aged Merlot Red Wine was inspired by American winemaker Robert Mondavi’s commitment to producing flavorful wines for modern wine lovers. This dry red wine is a celebration of the rich tradition of winemaking and offers delicious notes of black cherry, raspberry, baking spice, brown sugar, vanilla, and cocoa. It’s a medium bodied red wine enhanced by a lush finish and a hint of dark chocolate on the palate. Made from ripe Merlot grapes carefully picked at night and in the early morning, this red California wine underwent aging, blending, and fermentation. A portion of the wine was then aged for an additional 10 months in rum barrels made with American oak for full flavor development.
