They are made of resilient, high-density polymer film. Each bag has a capacity of 30 to 33 gallons with a 165-gram dart impact and 480-gram Elmendorf tear test. A biohazard symbol is clearly emblazoned on the side of each bag, while the bold red color alerts people that the bag contains infectious waste. The star-sealed bottom helps eliminate ripping or tearing, even when the bag is heavily weighed down with garbage. A bag measures 31 x 41 inches and has a thickness of 0.63 mil. The bags feature twist-tie closures.
