Primitivo grapes benefit from a warm climate with plenty of rain as well as long hours of sunshine and soil that contains limestone, clay or sandstone. All of which combine to give the grapes strong aromas and appealing structure. The grapes for the Doppio Passo Primitivo Puglia IGT are harvested at two different times: one part when fully ripe, the other as a later harvest. When blended, the result is a soft, full and exceptionally full-bodied wine with aromas of blackberries, cherries and forest fruits.
