Harris Teeter thanks valued associates, loyal shoppers for donating more than $1 million to the Harris Teeter Health Partners
Harris Teeter announced today a donation of more than $1 million to support the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, JDRF, Muscle Dystrophy Association and the HEARTest Yard.
The donation was made possible through generous contributions from Harris Teeter’s loyal shoppers and valued associates during the Company’s annual Health Partner Round Up campaign.
From January 25 – April 4, all Harris Teeter locations hosted an in-store donation campaign, inviting shoppers to round up their transaction to the nearest whole dollar at checkout. Donations made in North Carolina and South Carolina stores were split evenly between American Cancer Society; American Heart Association; JDRF; Muscular Dystrophy Association; and the HEARTest Yard. All other stores, excluding the Tidewater region and the Outer Banks*, benefited the American Cancer Society; American Heart Association; JDRF; and Muscular Dystrophy Association.
“Through this generous donation, these leading health organizations can provide much need resources, including medical procedures, access to care and discounted and free medicine, to support families during a difficult time. The money donated also goes to fund research projects to help find better treatment options and cures to dozens of diseases,” said Danna Robinson, director of corporate affairs for Harris Teeter. “The success of Harris Teeter’s Health Partner Round Up campaign is a direct reflection of the generosity of our valued associates and loyal shoppers.”
All funds collected during the campaign will be allocated to local chapters of the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, JDRF and Muscle Dystrophy Association throughout the areas in which Harris Teeter does business.
Harris Teeter, along with our health partner organization, thanks its valued shoppers and associates who donated during the 2023 Health Partner Round Up campaign.
