Harris Teeter Partners With City of Charleston, Charleston Gaillard Center To Host COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic

Harris Teeter Pharmacists to administer COVID-19 vaccine to eligible individuals

UPDATE: Feb. 18, 2021: Harris Teeter and City of Charleston are proud to announce new, available appointments for this COVID-19 clinic. Appointments are now available noon - 6pm on Friday, Feb. 19, 2021 and Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021. Click here to reserve an appointment.

Individuals with an appointment can park in the Gaillard Garage located at 33 Alexander Street. After receiving the vaccine, a voucher for two hours of free parking will be provided.

Matthews, N.C. – Harris Teeter announced today a COVID-19 vaccination clinic in partnership with City of Charleston and Charleston Gaillard Center. Harris Teeter’s highly trained Pharmacists will administer COVID-19 vaccines to eligible individuals on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021 at Charleston Gaillard Center*.

* As the healthcare provider for this vaccination event, Harris Teeter is responsible for protecting the Personal Health Information (PHI) of all those participating in vaccinations under the federal HIPAA Privacy Rule. To ensure we are 100% compliant with this effort, there is no media allowed inside the event site. We appreciate your understanding in protecting our patients’ information as we work to vaccinate our communities and help bring an end to the pandemic.

This clinic was originally planned as a three-day event – however, due to weather delays, Harris Teeter has only received enough vaccine product for one day. As more vaccine product becomes available, Harris Teeter will potentially announce future dates for this clinic location.

Eligible individuals include healthcare workers, residents and staff of long-term care facilities and seniors aged 65 and older. The no-cost vaccination is available by appointment only while supplies last. Appointments can be scheduled beginning today, Feb. 16, 2021 using Harris Teeter’s online vaccine appointment scheduler.

Individuals with an appointment will need to provide a valid driver’s license or government issued identification card. While the vaccine is at no out-of-pocket cost, patients with health insurance should bring their insurance card to their appointment.
