Manager of Corporate Service Excellence

I have worked for Harris Teeter for 16 years. I began my career with HT as a part time cashier in 2000. I also worked in floral, HBC, accounting, and as ACSM before joining the Customer Relations Team in 2009. The thing I love most about working for HT is the opportunities and benefits that we provide our employees. There are few companies who can say that the majority of their employees in high level roles started out as part time associates in their stores!

My favorite thing about my position as Assistant Manager of Customer Relations is that I am able to work with so many great people. We are here not only to support our customers but to support our stores and other departments within the corporate office and operation as well! There is such a team and family atmosphere. When I started out part time at 18 years old I never envisioned myself still being here; however now I cannot imagine being anywhere else. Harris Teeter helped me get through college and receive the training and development I need to succeed.

If you are looking for a career that offers wonderful benefits, room for advancement, and a chance to meet amazing people please join the HT Family!

When I am not working I love spending time outdoors. Camping, hiking, and kayaking are some of my favorite activities. I love spending time with my husband, Alex, and my dogs, Daphne and Charlie. I also love cheering on my Clemson Tigers!

I am an Animal-lover, Compassionate, Quirky.

Corporate Communication Manager

I joined Harris Teeter in September 2011, as Communication Specialist and was promoted to Communication Manager in 2014. There are many things I love about working for Harris Teeter, but my three favorite things are:

1) The number of people who tell me Harris Teeter was their very first job;

2) The talented group of colleagues I am fortunate enough to learn from and work alongside!

3) That Harris Teeter is such a beloved brand; I’m proud to be a part of something that people claim as their own. Hearing people refer to their store as “my Harris Teeter” makes my day.

I always say I have the best job in the company! Working in Corporate Communication allows me to interact with every level of the organization in crafting a narrative to elevate Harris Teeter’s unique story and manage our brand’s beloved reputation. Whether it is through a press conference, media interview, a one-on-one interaction with a shopper or a PR campaign, the day-to-day work of public affairs is never the same. I am consistently faced with new challenges, giving me the opportunity to develop new skills and processes. I am always learning, growing and changing. A company’s brand is not static; it’s something that must be carefully defined, meticulously cultivated and enthusiastically celebrated, and I love elevating the Harris Teeter brand.

Because not much has changed inside grocery stores for the last 50 years, Grocery tends to be viewed as an antiquated industry. I don’t think people realize how progressive the industry actually is. The advancements made in the grocery space around online shopping, consumer data, hunger relief, waste diversion and sustainability is extremely impressive. I would encourage anyone interested in working in an established industry but also in a progressive space to learn more about the vast career opportunities available with Harris Teeter.

Outside of work, I love to spend time with my husband and our girls, Sophia & Elle. We like to grill out, take weekend trips to Charleston, and we spend our Saturdays in the Fall enjoying college football, even though we are a divided house: Clemson vs. South Carolina. … GO TIGERS!

Three words that best describe me are: Champagne, Shoes & Pink … in that order!
