9 DIY Spice Blends

Why should you make your own spice blends? We have several reasons

Save on money! If you already have a well-stocked spice cabinet, you can make your own blends instead of purchasing whole bottles of these combinations.

Save on time! Make the blends that you’ll use often in advance, and mealtime will be less of a scramble! Plus, you’ll be able to instantly add big flavor to simple weeknight meals.

Reduce your sodium! Making your own spice blends instead of buying them already bottled means you can control the amount of salt added. You’ll also be able to control the heat level.

Have more fun! Bring the kids into the kitchen and have them help you make these bright and colorful spice blends. Think up fun ways to add the blends to your family meals – maybe sprinkle Cajun seasoning on top of roasted potatoes? Or add a little ranch seasoning to melted butter and serve with steamed broccoli!
