7 Unique Foods For The Grill
Most of us tend to be creatures of habit when it comes to dinner. My approach is generally to pick one protein, veggie, and carb. When it’s warm outside, I try to do most of it on the grill.
Admittedly, things can get a little boring – so we’re mixing it up, with unique foods for the grill. Whether you need a creative way to use up some of these pantry and produce items or you’re looking to spruce up a weeknight dinner, give these unique foods for the grill a try! You might just find another staple for your recipe box.
Grilled Avocado
Whisk olive oil, salt and pepper in a small bowl and brush over the entire surface of the cut-side of each avocado. Grill avocados, cut-side down, on the preheated grill until grill-lines begin to form on the avocado flesh, about 5 minutes.

This might be my favorite way to use up day-old bread. Slather it with butter or olive oil, sprinkle a generous amount of salt on top, and grill until you achieve perfect grill marks.

Grilled Bacon
What’s better than bacon? Not much, except for grilled bacon. All of that extra smoky flavor makes for a breakfast win! Preheat a cast iron skillet on your grill. Add your bacon to the skillet, close the lid for 7-10 minutes, then flip the bacon over. Cook until perfectly crisp.
Drain on paper towels and serve in our Bacon Breakfast Pitas or with these Pumpkin Pie Pancakes.
