DIY Kitchen Hacks
Lazy Susan
Clean off a shelf in your fridge and measure the shelf space. Get an appropriately sized lazy susan turn table and load her up with your favorite products. Never wonder what’s in the back of your fridge again!
Egg Carton Fridge Storage
Cut the lid off of a cardboard egg carton. Empty out a door bin in your fridge that fits your egg carton. Now you can store all of your thick sauces and condiments upside down! Even better, any spills will land in the carton. No more ketchup juice on your favorite foods.
Water Bottle Storage
Have the holidays cleaned out your wine stash? Or maybe you’ve resolved to drink more water in the new year? Use your wine storage to organize your water bottles! A fresh bottle of H20 is always at the ready with this neat storage trick.
Fridge Snack Station
“Can I have a snack?” Make it easy for little ones to grab healthy snack choices with a neatly organized snack station in the fridge. Include items like Harris Teeter Colby Jack Cheese Sticks, Harris Teeter Unsweetened Apple Sauce, hummus and guacamole dips, carrot sticks and more!
Blind Cleaning
This dreaded task gets just a bit more bearable with this awesome hack! Cut a deep hole in the center of two sponges with a box cutter or paring knife. Insert the ends of a pair of tongs. Dampen the sponge and slide over each slat to clean.
Fridge Deodorizers
Freshen up your fridge with this awesome DIY deodorizer. In a medium bowl, mix together 1 box of Harris Teeter Baking Soda, ½ cup water, and the juice and zest of one lemon. Stir to combine and spoon paste into lined muffin tins. Bake at 170 degrees Fahrenheit until dry, about 2-3 hours. Cool completely. Place one deodorizer cup in the fridge. Replace after 6 weeks.
